The NFL UK broadcast picture is simpler than American viewers’ map but expanding. Sky Sports holds the comprehensive package, ITV picks selected marquee fixtures for free-to-air, and the league’s own NFL+ service is an option for the most committed travelling-fan demographic.
Regular season — every Sunday and Thursday and Monday
Sky Sports NFL is a dedicated channel within the Sky Sports package that carries every regular-season NFL game live, including the four windows: Thursday Night Football (Amazon’s US package, re-broadcast on Sky NFL), Sunday early kickoffs (the 18:00 UK time CBS/FOX windows), Sunday late kickoffs (the 21:25 UK time slot), Sunday Night Football (the 01:20 UK time NBC window), and Monday Night Football (the 01:15 UK time ESPN window).
The channel also broadcasts NFL RedZone — the cut-around-the-leagues whip-around that runs through the Sunday afternoon US slate — as a separate feed on Sky Sports Mix during the 18:00 to 23:30 UK window each Sunday.
ITV carries roughly six to eight Sunday-night NFL games per season on its free-to-air main channel, typically the highest-profile Sunday Night Football fixtures plus the London games. The ITV broadcast is part of a multi-year deal that extends through 2027.
London games — Wembley and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
The NFL plays five regular-season games in London each autumn — three at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and two at Wembley Stadium. All five are on Sky Sports NFL live; the kickoff is typically 14:30 or 18:30 UK time on a Sunday. ITV simulcasts at least two of these each year on the free-to-air channel.
Playoffs and the Super Bowl
The Wild Card weekend, Divisional Round, Conference Championships and Super Bowl are all on Sky Sports NFL. The Super Bowl is additionally simulcast on ITV1 and ITVX as the showcase free-to-air fixture each February.
Subscription cost reality
Sky Sports NFL is part of the Sky Sports package — roughly £40-£46 per month on a Sky contract, or £34.99 per month on a NOW Sports Membership (no contract). NFL+ as a direct league subscription is $14.99 per month, but it has no live regular-season games for UK viewers; it is the archive and on-demand product only.
ITV and ITVX are free with a UK TV licence (£169.50 per year).
